Maison Orcia Vacqueyras

2019

Red wine Aged in concrete. 12 meses en depósitos de hormigón.
Maison Orcia Vacqueyras 2019 is a concentrated wine with aromas of spiced cherries, plums and a touch of raspberry jam. On the palate it is elegant, flavoursome and well structured. A medium-bodied wine with supple tannins and a subtly spicy finish.

About Maison Orcia Vacqueyras
Around Châteauneuf-du-pape, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France, there are several villages with their own wine-growing history. One of them, Vacqueyras, got its own denomination in 1990 and its wines stand out for offering the spicy and herbaceous character of the southern Rhône at a very reasonable price. A rich yet little-known area that quality terroir seeker Jean-Philippe Manchès has been able to appreciate by creating his own AOP Vacqueyras wine. Considering that this talented young winemaker manages to interpret the most outstanding wine regions of France at a very affordable price through his Maison Orcia wine trading business, Maison Orcia Vacqueyras is a real find.
Sourced from 40-year-old vines of the Garnacha, Syrah and Mourvèdre varieties, Maison Orcia Vacqueyras is a cuvée produced on terraces formed from alluvial deposits. In the winery, the best grapes are selected and destemmed before vatting. The wine then spends 3 weeks fermenting and macerating in concrete tanks and finally, the wine ages for 12 months in concrete tanks.
With a mission to produce refined wines that are accessible to all, the Maison Orcia Vacqueyra wine showcases the working philosophy of this intrepid winemaker. A tasty, fruity and slightly spicy coupage directly from the small and young AOP Vacqueyras.
