Lo Petitó de Pascona

Red wine Young.
Lo Petitó de Pascona 2023 unveils itself as a dynamic and approachable red wine, perfectly suited for those in pursuit of zest and a fruit-forward palate experience. Olfactorily, it unfurls a spectrum of scents with cherries and raspberries taking center stage, complemented by a subtle hint of blackberries that beckons for a further whiff. On the palate, its youthful nature is expressed through a light texture and a tenacious fruity flavor. Its well-balanced acidity and crisp finish render it a delightful choice for savoring at any given opportunity.

About Lo Petitó de Pascona
Lo Petitó de Pascona is a red wine produced by Celler Pascona in Vall dels Fontanals, Falset, in the heart of D.O. Montsant.
In 2006, Toni Ripoll took over the family business and started the project that was renamed Pascona. Several local varieties, such as Grenache and Carignan, and other foreign ones, like Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, are all planted together in a 20-hectare farm with clay, granite and slate soils.
Celler Pascona thrives for the maximum quality and expression of its wines through the family winemaking tradition, maximum respect for the grape and its environment, using the latest technology in a winery that has been built right by the vineyard.
Lo Petitó de Pascona is a wine made from Syrah and Merlot planted on clay soils, in farms that are over 30 years old. Each variety ferments separately in stainless steel deposits for around 20 days. Then, 50% of it is left to stand for 6 months in stainless steel deposits on its fine lees. The other 50% is left in barrels for 6 months. Natural stabilisation process and soft filtering.
Lo Petitó de Pascona is a young fresh wine. Fruity and sweet. With ripe fruit aromas and mineral notes.
