Domaine Serge Laloue Pouilly-Fumé Blanc is a single-variety Sauvignon Blanc white wine produced by Domaine Serge Laloue in the AOC Pouilly Fumé in the Loire Valley, France.
Domaine Serge Laloue Pouilly-Fumé Blanc is made with grapes that come from plots with predominantly clay-calcareous soils with flint. They are traditionally vinified in stainless steel tanks where they ferment with their native yeasts. The resulting wine ages with its lees for 3 to 6 months.
Domaine Serge Laloue is located in Thauvenay and has around 20 hectares within the AOC Sancerre and 5 hectares in the IGP Côtes de la Charité. Serge Laloue’s parents were farmers, and he decided to go into viticulture, which was his work until he died in 2006. During this time, he increased the amount of land owned by the family Domaine, which was then passed onto his children Christine and Franck. In 2019, the estate began the process of gaining organic agriculture certification, a natural step that reaffirms their philosophy of environmentally friendly production, especially since they have been working with sustainable agriculture in their vineyards for years already.
Domaine Serge Laloue Pouilly-Fumé Blanc has the sought after high quality that characterises Pouilly-Fumé wines: that smoky fragrance and flint aroma that everyone loves.
