About La Calandria Sonrojo
Like the calandria, a typically Mediterranean bird that lives in the best habitats, Luis Remacha and Javier Continente settled where they found old Garnacha vineyards. This is where their name, La Calandria, comes from, and their work focusses on producing pure Garnachas.
Their rosé wine, La Calandria Sonrojo, is a single-variety Garnacha Tinta made from old vines recovered through environmentally friendly agriculture in the D.O. Navarra. This wine embodies the daring and cheeky personality of these two childhood friends who have seen their winemaking dream come true. In all of their work, Garnacha is the diva and the bottle design is her dress.
2023 | La Calandria Sonrojo 2023 is a rosé wine with an appealing bright raspberry-red hue. On the nose, it is remarkable for its intensity and clarity, with fresh aromas of red fruits such as strawberries and raspberries, accompanied by subtle notes of undergrowth. On the palate, it offers a good acidity that makes it flavourful and refreshing, proving very easy to drink. Its light profile makes it an ideal choice to enjoy on any occasion. |

2020 | La Calandria Sonrojo 2020 is a young rosé wine with aromas of red fruits and sweets. On the palate it is bright, clean and pure. A nice wine that is pleasant to drink and has marked acidity. |
