Kühling-Gillot Qvinterra Riesling Trocken is a monovarietal Riesling white wine produced by Kühling-Gillot that comes under the VDP Rheinhessen.
Kühling-Gillot is a winery located in the municipality of Bodenheim in Rheinhessen, one of the areas close to the Rhine. The winery was founded in the 19th century, but since 2002 belongs to the couple Carolin Gillot and Oliver Spanier. They produce organic Riesling, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Silvaner wines.
The vineyards for Kühling-Gillot Qvinterra Riesling Trocken are located in five municipalities in the area, hence the name, Qvinterra. The soils are red slate, clay loams and loess, clay sediments originally deposited by the wind. They are the winery’s young vines, and produce a fresh and aromatic grape.
Kühling-Gillot Qvinterra Riesling Trocken ferments with native yeasts and undergoes a short refining ageing in stainless steel tanks to ensure it does not lose its freshness and juiciness.
Kühling-Gillot Qvinterra Riesling Trocken is a dry white wine with a fruity nose and a fine, fresh acidity that is complex despite its youth
