Joseph Drouhin Saint-Véran is a monovarietal Chardonnay white wine from the AOC Saint-Véran produced by Joseph Drouhin.
Joseph Drouhin is a winery in Burgundy founded in 1880. It cultivates 78 hectares of vineyards located in various sub-areas of Burgundy: in Côte de Nuits, Chablis, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. It also buys grapes and must from local producers to produce some of his references. For years the winery has been practicing organic farming because it understands that listening and respecting its vineyards and nature is essential for producing quality wines.
The vineyards for Joseph Drouhin Saint-Véran lie in the south of Burgundy, just in the north of Beaujolais. They have limestone soils that originated in the Jurassic period, with calcareous strata that is ideal for cultivating Chardonnay. The plots have an average planting density of 8,500 plants per hectare and are pruned in Guyot style.
The Joseph Drouhin Saint-Véran harvest is gently pressed when arriving in the cellar to respect the fruit as much as possible. It ferments in stainless steel tanks and then ages in them for about 6-8 months.
Joseph Drouhin Saint-Véran is a fresh, fruity and pleasant wine with touches of ageing on lees.

Joseph Drouhin Saint-Véran 2014 is a refreshing wine with aromas reminiscent of ripe white fruit and hints of musk. On the palate it is rounded, pleasant and enveloping.
One of the most interesting French winemakers in Burgundy. They have been making wine since 1880 from the Chablis, Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise vineyards, as well as in the Willamette Valley in Oregon.
