Characteristics Joseph Drouhin Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu
Joseph Drouhin Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu is an AOC Chablis Premier Cru white wine made by Joseph Drouhin using the Chardonnay variety.
With over 130 years of family winemaking history, Joseph Drouhin is recognised as one of the first Burgundy owners who set out to revitalise the almost abandoned Chablis vineyards in the 70s. An area that stands out for the unique Kimmeridgiana limestone soil that contains millions of small marine fossils and is responsible for the saline character of its wines.
Joseph Drouhin Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu comes from 28-year-old vineyards located in the northernmost part of the estate. The Kimmeridgiana limestone soils are protected through biological and biodynamic cultivation with a low yield of 58 hectolitres per hectare. The harvest is carried out manually.
In the winery, the Joseph Drouhin Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu grapes are pressed very slowly to respect the fruit. The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks for 7 to 8 months.
Joseph Drouhin Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu is a white wine that reveals the full expression of terroir with a vintage character.

Ratings Joseph Drouhin Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu
Joseph Drouhin Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu 2016 is an aromatic white wine with a complex and mineral nose and hints of citrus and white flowers. On the palate it is fresh and full of nuances even with some marine notes.
One of the most interesting French winemakers in Burgundy. They have been making wine since 1880 from the Chablis, Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise vineyards, as well as in the Willamette Valley in Oregon.
