Jacques Lassaigne Les Vignes de Montgueux Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs is an organic champagne made by Jacques Lassaigne with the Chardonnay variety in the wine region of A.O.C. Champagne (France).
Jacques Lassaigne is a small ‘gran maison’ in the “Montrachet de Champagne” appellation. This is a relatively low hill with some outstanding geological characteristics for producing spectacular wines. An exceptional location whose founder Emmanuel Lassaigne, works with great care and respect to achieve the maximum expression of the terroir.
Jacques Lassaigne Les Vignes de Montgueux Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs comes from a small Montgueux vineyard with vines aged over 40 years old in calcareous soils. No pesticides, fertilisers or synthetic products are used. Instead he uses organic and natural treatments. When the grape reaches optimum ripeness, it is harvested by hand.
The Jacques Lassaigne Les Vignes de Montgueux Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs grapes are gently pressed in the winery and the resulting must is partially vinified in barrels. Once in the bottle, it is stacked for 1 to 5 years. Finally, it is manually disgorged and no sulphur is added.
Jacques Lassaigne Les Vignes de Montgueux Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs is a benchmark for the great sparkling wines made in the Montgueux area. A delicate and deliciously mineral champagne.
