J.J. Confuron Bourgogne Pinot Noir Cuvée Jeunesse 2020
AOC Bourgogne
(Burgundy)
J.J. Confuron Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru is a single-variety Pinot Noir red wine made by Domaine J.J. Confuron in Burgundy, France.
The grapes used to make the J.J. Confuron Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru wine come from vineyards with vines aged 45 to 65 years old. When they reach the winery, they are destemmed and macerated with a gentle pressing. They then ferment in tanks at a controlled temperature with CO2 retention to enhance all the characteristics of these high-quality berries.
The resulting wine ages in new French oak barrels for 15 to 18 months, depending on the vintage.
Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron is located in Premeaux-Prissey in the Côte de Nuits region in Burgundy. It is run by Sophie Confuron, the fourth generation of the family, who took over her father's winery after he fell ill. Now with help from her husband Alain Meunier, she is carrying on with the legacy that Jean Jacques left when he died. His focus was on respectful work in the vineyard, which has been cultivated organically and sustainably since 1989, believing this to be the starting point for making wines that reflect the essence and elegance of the landscape and with the quality that sets the Burgundy region apart.
