Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Riesling Trocken GG is a monovarietal Riesling from the VDP Mose-Saar-Ruwer produced by Weingut Fritz Haag.

Weingut Fritz Haag is located in the heart of the central valley of the Moselle. The area has been the site of grape cultivation in Germany since Roman times. The winery owns 17 hectares of vineyards planted exclusively with Riesling, and they produce it in all its facets, from dry to sweet. Its wines are elegant and sophisticated and have a great ageing potential.

Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Riesling Trocken GG is located on a terribly steep slope in Braunebeger. The Romans already recognised the potential of the land and were the first to establish a vineyard there. It is a vineyard that is one of the driest in the area, a real advantage in a wet northern area. It is classified as GG, the German equivalent of "Grand Cru".

Fritz Haag Juffer Sonnenuhr Riesling Trocken GG is harvested manually to be able to make a selection of bunches, so that only the best bunches are vinified. It is pressed when it arrives in the cellar and the must ferments in foudres and stainless steel tanks. Lastly the wine undergoes a long ageing on lees that give it the final touch.
