About Fasoli Gino Corte del Pozzo Valpolicella Classico
Four generations have transformed a horticultural estate into a renowned winery producing high-quality organic wines. Today, the brothers Matteo and Giordano Fasoli take pride in their heritage, recalling how their great-great-grandfather Amadio Fasoli used to deliver demijohns of his wine to the finest taverns in the area, atop his horse and cart. With the same entrepreneurial spirit, the brothers have kept the family tradition alive, modernising cultivation and production techniques while remaining true to their ancestor's legacy. Their profound commitment to sustainability and quality ensures that each bottle not only encapsulates the essence of the land but also expresses the passion and love the family pours into every sip. This dedication is endorsed by the "Goose Approved" environmental sustainability and territorial respect seal that distinguishes their bottles.
One of their wines, Fasoli Gino Corte del Pozzo Valpolicella Classico, is a blend of corvina, corvinone, and rondinella from the Val d'Illasi hillside in Veneto (Italy), where the soils are predominantly limestone. It is organically cultivated with biodynamic treatments. The harvest is manual, and the grapes are immediately transported in crates to the winery, where they are meticulously selected and pressed. Fermentation is carried out separately: the dried grapes in stainless steel tanks and the withered ones in large oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Subsequently, the wine undergoes aging on fine lees for 10 months in barrels and is then bottled for 5-6 months before being released to the market.
Part of the DOC Valpolicella Classico, Fasoli Gino Corte del Pozzo Valpolicella Classico reflects the rich tradition of the territory and, consequently, the history of the Fasoli family. A truly exceptional wine that captures the essence of its origin, with a perfect balance between elegance and character.
