Fagus is a red wine made by Bodegas Aragonesas in Campo de Borja, a wine area located northwest of the province of Zaragoza.
The winery is known for the high quality of its varietal Garnacha wines, which are called "heavenly Garnachas" and this red wine Fagus is among them.
The variety of Grenache from which Fagus is made comes from old vines between 40 and 50 years old with a low average production per vine.
For processing, the must is fermented at a temperature of 28°C. After alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels.
After the fermentation process, the wine proceeds to a transfer and barrelling in French oak barrels.
Fagus rests a while before going to market. It is advisable to aerate or decant about 30 minutes before serving.
