About Remírez De Ganuza R. Erre Punto Tinto Tempranillo

Erre punto is a young wine from the D.O. Rioja produced by the winery Remírez de Ganuza using the carbonic maceration method.
The grapes used in Erre Punto are Tempranillo (90%), Grenache (5%) and Viura and Malvasía (5%), typical varieties of La Rioja coming from vines of over 60 years old. The harvest is manual and the grapes are collected in 12kg boxes to assure they are at their optimum state when they arrive at the bodega. The grapes are stored for 24 hours in refrigerated storehouses at a temperature between 4 and 6 degrees.
The grapes from the top of the clusters are separated from the bottom by hand on the sorting table. Erre Punto is made with the bottom halves of the clusters using the carbonic maceration method.
2014 Indulgent and fleshy. Harmoniously balanced, it exhibits robust tannins and a finish that is both invigorating and enduring.

Pristine, vivid, and resplendent with a cherry hue.

Delicate fruity nuances overlay a delightful undertone of licorice.
2012 In the mouth this wine shows sweet and fleshy attack with pleasant and well-balanced tannins. Nuances of fresh fruit, blackberries and licorice.

Picota cherry colour and high robe. Erre Punto is clean and bright with dense tears staining the glass.

Very fine and intense nose. Floral notes of violets and lillies appear first and then give way to a spectrum of fruity aromas of strawberry, raspberry and redcurrent.
2009 Soft and fresh attack which becomes warm during the mid-palate, with fluidity, with a good acidity and a slightly bitter aftertaste. Easy drinking wine with a great structure.

Cherry red colour with purplish edge. Very high robe.

Fruity nuances with toasted reminiscences are firstly noticed during the attack. Subsequently, characteristic liquorice hints from the Tempranillo grapes are perceived together with vegetable notes (herbs such as fennel and eucalyptus).
2008 In the mouth the wine is sweet tooth and a nice tannin. The fruit is presented in this add is fresh and surprising for its roots to the traditional carbonic maceration process.
