About Domaine des Tourelles Blanc Assemblage
Domaine des Tourelles Blanc Assemblage is a white wine produced by Domaine des Tourelles in the Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. It’s a harmonious assemblage consisting of the Viognier, Chardonnay, Obeidi and Muscat of Alexandria varieties.
The internationalization of Lebanese wine began when François-Eugène Brun decided to build Domaine des Tourelles in 1868. A pioneer in committing to the exceptional terroir of the Bekaa Valley, it makes the winery a true ambassador for the country. All this work has been passed down over the years and, since 2000, it has continued in the hands of the descendants of Brum's Lebanese wife (the lawyer Nayla Kanaan Issa El-Khoury and the engineer Elie F. Issa).
Domaine des Tourelles Blanc Assemblage comes from vineyards located 1,050 meters above sea level. The vines are 15-20 years old and are planted on stony, clayey and loamy soils where respectful agriculture is practiced, without using chemical products. Yields are limited to 50 hl/he and the harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
In the cellar, the Domaine des Tourelles Blanc Assemblage grapes are fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks at 15-18 °C for 10 days and then the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks for 7 months. Finally, it’s lightly filtered before bottling.
The result of the perfect fusion between modernity and tradition, Domaine des Tourelles Blanc Assemblage is a surprisingly fresh wine, full of flavour and elegant minerality.
2020 |
Domaine des Tourelles Blanc Assemblage 2020 is an aromatic white wine with a fragrant bouquet of tropical fruit, white fruit and chalky notes. On the palate it’s fresh, juicy and elegant. A wine with balanced acidity and a refreshing, deeply mineral finish. |
