Characteristics Domaine de la Pinte Arbois Chardonnay
Domaine de la Pinte Arbois Chardonnay is a biodynamic white wine made with Chardonnay that belongs to the AOC Arbois and is produced by Domaine de la Pinte.
Domaine de la Pinte is a family winery that has 34 hectares of vineyards planted mainly on blue marl soils about 400 metres above sea level in the municipalities of Arbois and Pupillin. They have cultivated organically since 1999 and biodynamically since 2009.
The vineyards for Domaine de la Pinte Arbois Chardonnay are cultivated biodynamically and have blue marl soils. Their average yield is about 35 hectolitres per hectare, and they are harvested by hand to respect the grapes as much as possible.
Once in the winery the Domaine de la Pinte Arbois Chardonnay harvest is pressed and the must is cleaned by decanting. Alcoholic fermentation is then carried out with native yeasts in tanks with temperature control. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation to give it lactic touches and reduce acidity a little. Lastly, it is aged in barrels for ten months and filtered slightly before bottling.
Domaine de la Pinte Arbois Chardonnay is an easily accessible, fruity and rounded wine.
