About Domaine Charvin Côtes du Rhone
Domaine Charvin Côtes du Rhone is a barrel-aged red wine made with the Monastrell, Garnacha and Cariñena red varieties in the AOC Côtes du Rhône (France) by Domaine Charvin.
Although this winery was already established in the prestigious Rhone wine region in 1852, it was not until the 6th generation took over in 1990, when Domaine Charvin began to produce wines to sell. The person running the business is Laurent Charvin who, when he took over the estate, began to biodynamically cultivate the 8 hectares that the family manages in Chateauneauf du Pape and the 13 in Côtes du Rhone to make their world-renowned wines.
Domaine Charvin Côtes du Rhone comes from vines with an average age of 45 years old planted in limestone and clay soils. Classified as great terroirs, they use environment-friendly agriculture, with organic treatments and biodynamic practices. The strain yield is limited and the harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
The Domaine Charvin Côtes du Rhone clusters are selected and lightly pressed without being destemmed. They then macerate and ferment in cement tanks for three weeks. Once the wine has been made, it is left to age for 18 months in these same tanks. It is bottled without refining or filtering.
Domaine Charvin Côtes du Rhone is a red wine that radiates fruit and youth from one of the most prestigious wine regions in the world.
