About Derain Bourgogne Aligoté

Derain Bourgogne Aligoté is a natural monovarietal Aligoté white wine from the AOC Bourgogne Aligoté produced by Dominique Derain in Burgundy.

Dominique Derain is a producer that is a precursor in the biodynamic system in Burgundy. It mainly produces natural wines, and since its beginnings it has always prioritised respect for nature and the terroir when producing its wines.

The vineyards for Derain Bourgogne Aligoté were planted between 1987 and 1989. Its soils are deep, clayey and silty, Once in the cellar the grapes are pressed directly and the must ferments with native yeasts in barrels for 5 to 10 years. To finish refining the wine, it is aged on fine lees for 7 months in the barrels used to ferment it. Very few bottles are produced, a total of 1,450.
2017 Derain Bourgogne Aligoté 2017 is a creamy wine, with aromas of green apples and hints of lemon. On the palate it is sharp and fresh with hints of the lemon perceived on the nose.
