De Sousa Brut Réserve Blanc de Blancs is a biodynamic sparkling wine made by De Sousa using the Chardonnay variety in the AOC Champagne denomination in Champagne, France.
Erick De Sousa is the third generation of the Champagne de Sousa family winery and since taking over the estate, he has been committed to taking care of the environment and the vineyard through organic and biodynamic practices. A total of 9.5 hectares of vineyards planted in Avize, in the Champagne-Ardenne wine region that are carefully vinified to achieve the most authentic expression of terroir.
De Sousa Brut Réserve Blanc de Blancs is made exclusively from the Chardonnay variety from the villages of Mesnil sur Oger, Avize and Villers Marmery. Biodynamic viticulture is practiced with organic preparations and the grapes are harvested by hand at the right point of ripeness.
De Sousa Brut Réserve Blanc de Blancs is a blend of two or three vintages and at least 25% reserve wines. Vinified according to the traditional champenoise method, the second fermentation is carried out in the bottle with 24 months of aging and, after disgorgement, a dose of 7 grams of sugar per litre is added.
De Sousa Brut Réserve Blanc de Blancs is a light and vibrant Grand Cru from Champagne De Sousa’s finest Chardonnay cuvée.
