About M. Chapoutier Les Meysonniers Blanc

M. Chapoutier Les Meysonniers Blanc is a monovarietal Marsanne white wine from the Apellation Crozes-Hermitage produced by Maison Chapoutier.

Maison Chapoutier is an old winery in the Rhone Valley founded in 1808. It is currently run by Michel Chapoutier, a famous winemaker who introduced the practice of biodynamics in the area’s winegrowing, and who has produced numerous wines with great international recognition.

M. Chapoutier Les Meysonniers Blanc is the product of the vinification of grapes from 20 to 40 year old vineyards planted in clay and laminated pebble soils. The vineyards are oriented to the south on slopes with a slight incline. They are harvested manually.

The grapes for M. Chapoutier Les Meysonniers Blanc are pressed just when they arrive in the cellar. The must is cleaned by decanting cold, by gravity, for 24 hours and then fermented. It is fermented in vats at a controlled temperature to extract the most pleasant aromas of the grape. The final wine is aged for 7 to 8 months on its fine lees in vats and 600 litre barrels.

M. Chapoutier Les Meysonniers Blanc is a wine with creamy and bakery touches, hints of toast and minerals, and aromas of flowers and quince. A wine that is pleasant on the palate, and that will accompany fish and vegetables perfectly.

2017 Chapoutier Les Meysonniers Blanc 2017 has floral aromas, toasted and almond notes and touches of quince. On the palate it is soft and fresh.
