D.O.Ca. Rioja (La Rioja)
Campo Viejo Vendimia Seleccionada is a red wine from D.O. La Rioja produced by the winery Campo Viejo. This wine is a single-variety of Tempranillo, the most used grape in this winemaking region.
The harvest and the vinification processes are carried out using traditional methods, taking advantage of the knowledge derived from a long relationship of the region with the world of wine.
Once they arrive at the winery, the grapes for Campo Viejo Vendimia Seleccionada first go through a destemming and crushing stage.
Then they go through fermentation at a controlled temperature of around 25ºC, with moderate macerations that last around two weeks.
Finally, Campo Viejo Vendimia Seleccionada ages for 18 months in American and French oak barrels.
Campo Viejo, which belongs to Grupo Domecq, has the privilege of producing its wines in one of the most modern facilities. It is, undoubtedly, one of the references of D.O. La Rioja.
