Campo Viejo Reserva 2019 is a red wine with aromas of ripe red and black fruits, dried flowers, orange peel, and a hint of spices and chocolate that spark curiosity at first encounter. On the palate, it balances with fine tannins and juicy acidity, offering freshness and smoothness. About Campo Viejo Reserva

Campo Viejo Gran Reserva is a red wine from the D.O La Rioja produced by Campo Viejo. This wine is a bled of 3 different grape varieties: Tempranillo (85%), Graciano (10%) and Mazuelo (5%).

The graps used to make Campo Viejo Gran Reserva come from various vineyards that belong to the winery. These are located in different areas within the D.O. La Rioja: Rioja Alavesa, Rioja Alta and Rioja Baja. The harvest, as well as the various winemaking and manufacturing processes, are carried out using conventional methods.

After being transported to the winery, the grapes for Campo Viejo Gran Reserva ferment in stainless steel tanks at a controlled and constant temperature of 28ºC. The obtained must the macerates for about 20 days.

Campo Viejo Gran Reserva is then aged for 18 months in French (80%) and American (20%) oak barrels. Finally this wine ages for another 18 more months in the bottle.

Campo Viejo is one of the most well known wineries in the D.O La Rioja. Founded in 1959, the company has gone through successive stages of modernization that have lead to its current success.

2017

Campo Viejo Reserva 2017 is a fruity red wine, where cherry, plum and ripe blackberries combine with oak notes (clove, pepper, vanilla, coconut). On the palate, it is very flavoursome. It maintains this fruity character and adds nuances of spice, tobacco and toasted oak. Elegant and smooth tannins. A long and complex finish.
2014 Campo Viejo Reserva 2014 is a deep red wine with structure and elegance. An excellent vintage of this wine, which shows all the virtues of Reserva Rioja wines. Elegant toasted notes on the nose from its ageing in barrels. In the mouth, it is amiable, with a good body and a long finish.
2010 Harmonious and velvety. Distinguished, it reveals a prolonged and lingering finish.

Deep and luminous ruby red hue.

Rich ripe black fruit, hints of vanilla and nuances of maturation.
