2018 Offer!

Tasting notes Ca N'Estruc L'Equilibrista Garnatxa 2018
Red wine Barrel fermented Biodynamic and Organic. 16 meses en barricas de roble.
Ca N'Estruc L'Equilibrista Garnatxa 2018 is a juicy, ripe red that is tremendously intense and complex. The nose is powerful and very perfumed, with aromas of red fruits (strawberry, pomegranate). The palate is smooth and seductive, with soft and pleasant tannins. Fresh and very pleasant. Long finish.

About Ca N'Estruc L'Equilibrista Garnatxa
Finding the middle ground is a virtue (and is not easy, by the way). And it seems like Francisco and Anna Martín have achieved it in their Ca N'Estruc L'Equilibrista Garnatxa red wine.
Starting from the most traditional production methods and the most natural philosophy (based on organic agriculture and biodynamics) this family business, located in Barcelona (in the village of Esparreguera) manages to produce one of the best red wines in the area. In fact, the name was already well known as it was the first winery to be registered in the D.O. Catalunya in 1999. Now, years later, this name continues to gain recognition with the increasingly refined and elegant style of its wines. To make Ca N'Estruc L'Equilibrista Garnatxa, the grapes come from vineyards that are not part of the estate. It is true that the winery has about 22 hectares of vineyards right on the slopes of Montserrat, at an altitude of 155 metres. However, in their work, they also have the help of other producers in the area, who are supervised at all times by the father-daughter team. The Grenache comes from young and old vineyards, between 18 and 40 years old, which have grown on alluvial soils (poor in organic matter) and under a temperate Mediterranean climate, with mild winters and not very hot summers.
All work is done by hand, including harvesting and destemming. Despite the effort, all the hard work is worth it, making sure only the best berries are processed and vatted to make Ca N'Estruc L'Equilibrista Garnatxa. Some of this red is fermented in open French oak barrels, while some is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature and always with pumping over. This action, where the lower part of the tank is brought back to the top, ensures that the skins deposited in the upper part are always moist. This layer of skins in the tank is commonly known as the cap, and if it ever dries out it can end up being the perfect home for bacteria and microorganisms that cause defects in the wine. Once fermentation is complete, Ca N'Estruc L'Equilibrista Garnatxa spends about 14 months in used Allier French oak barrels, with medium toasting, where it will rest and finish developing all its aromas, flavours and nuances.
Look no further. Ca N'Estruc L'Equilibrista Garnatxa is everything you need.
