Characteristics Bruma del Estrecho Paraje Marín
Bruma del Estrecho Paraje Marín is a red wine produced in the D.O. Jumilla by Bruma del Estrecho de Marín.
Bruma del Estrecho de Marín is a personal project created by Elena Pacheco and Isio Ramos. This project is born from their aim to produce 100% Monastrell wines in different areas of the D.O. Jumilla. All of this is possible thanks to the winery that Elena's family has in this area, Bodegas Viña Elena. Here, each vineyard area goes through the winemaking process individually, showing the character of the Monastrell grape according to different soils and microclimates.
They have 4 different vineyard areas in two different places, Las Chozas and Marín. They seek the highest quality and the expression of the terroir in all their wines, especially focusing on the vintage. A vintage that does not reach an optimum quality or that does not show the character of the vineyard area, will not be released on the market.
Bruma del Estrecho Paraje Marín is a wine prepared with Monastrell from vineyard areas located in the natural site Paraje Estrecho de Marín. The vines are planted on chalky semi-arid permeable soils, with a high content of stones. Harvest is performed manually. These grapes are fermented with local yeasts, with a first maceration at 19ºC that lasts two days. The following six days they are macerated at 27ºC. The wine is bottled without filtering, using low doses of sulphur dioxide during the entire process.
Bruma del Estrecho Paraje Marín is a young, intense, and sweet wine. A fun, easy to drink Monastrell.
