Bertha Cardús Gran Reserva Brut Nature is a sparkling wine integrated in the D.O.Cava made by Bertha with the Macabeo, Xarel-lo and Parellada varieties in the Penedès (Catalonia).
Bertha is a project by Josep Torres. A winery with its own style that began its trajectory only 20 years ago in the heart of the Penedès and which, by combining tradition and modernity, has managed to captivate a young, contemporary and open-minded public like no other.
Bertha Cardús Gran Reserva Brut Nature comes from a coupage of native varieties from the Penedés region planted in clay-limestone soils and under the influence of the Mediterranean Sea. The vines are cultivated using traditional agriculture and the harvest is carried out at the optimum point of ripeness.
Bertha Cardús Gran Reserva Brut Nature is vinified according to the traditional method with a first fermentation in stainless steel tanks and then a second carbonic fermentation in the bottle at 13ºC. Finally, it’s aged for a minimum of 36 months in the bottle before disgorging.
Bertha Cardús Gran Reserva Brut Nature is a long-aged Cava which aims to pay tribute to the native varieties of the Penedès.
