Barbadillo Manzanilla Nave Trinidad en Rama

Tasting notes Barbadillo Manzanilla Nave Trinidad en Rama
Manzanilla (75 cl.). 4 años bajo velo en flor.
Barbadillo Manzanilla Nave Trinidad en Rama is a light, young, fresh and easy to drink fortified wine. Nothing complicated. Bright yellow in colour, it is powerful on the nose with aromas of dried fruits, low tide, reduced lees and acetaldehyde. The palate is long and powerful, flavoursome, dry and saline. Suggestive and flavoursome.

About Barbadillo Manzanilla Nave Trinidad en Rama
In 1519, five ships, captained by Magellan, set sail from the port of Sanlúcar de Barrameda with the aim of establishing a new trade route to the west, between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. This expedition, financed by the Spanish crown, was the first to circumnavigate the globe. One of the ships that succeeded was called Trinidad.
So this feminine name became written into history as a synonym of adventure and discovery. And for this reason, also following the unwritten tradition of naming manzanillas after women, Barbadillo has chosen this name for their new manzanilla: Barbadillo Manzanilla Nave Trinidad en Rama. Why? Because it is the perfect introduction to the world of fortified wines.
Barbadillo Manzanilla Nave Trinidad en Rama is a smooth, young and fresh manzanilla, which has been designed to appeal to young, and not so young, consumers who are less familiar with the complex flavours and nuances of some of the wines from the D.O. Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda. Like any other manzanilla, the story of Barbadillo Manzanilla Nave Trinidad en Rama starts in the vineyard, on the albariza soil, with the Palomino Fino variety. From there it goes to the El Toro winery (the first one purchased by Benigno Barbadillo and Manuel López Barbadillo in 1821), where it will begin biological aging under a yeast cap. Specifically, for this wine, Barbadillo opted to create a new solera that has been installed in the Trinidad warehouse, one of the four zones (with its own aging conditions), into which this winery is divided and which was given this name by the winery’s founders. There’s room for everything! Finally, after several months of testing, Montse Molina (the winery’s winemaker) has managed to find the desired character, allocating 36 barrels to guard this wine, which is bottled without filtering or fining.
Barbadillo Manzanilla Nave Trinidad en Rama is more than a wine: it is a whole adventure that Barbadillo embarks on and where there is room for everyone. Interested?
