Characteristics Arnegui Reserva
Arnegui Reserva is a monovarietal Tempranillo red wine from the D.O.C Rioja produced by the Pagos from del Rey winery.
Arnegui Reserva is made fromTempranillo grapes harvested by hand from old low production vineyards in La Rioja Alta. The old vineyards produce a more balanced and concentrated grape than the new ones.
To prepare Arnegui Reserva the grapes are first of all macerated cold for a couple of days to extract colour, fruity aromas and fine tannins. They are subsequently fermented at a temperature of 26 to 28 ºC in stainless steel tanks for 8-12 days. Malolactic fermentation then takes place at about 20 ºC. Lastly it is aged in American oak barrels for 18 months and another 18 months in the bottle, so that the wine finishes evolving and is at its optimum point of consumption when it goes on the market.
Arnegui Reserva enjoys great aromatic expression on the nose and a tender and silky mouthfeel well accompanied by black fruit.
Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product
Arnegui Reserva 2013 is a wine with aromas of blackberry, licorice, leather and vanilla. It is fruity, dense and rounded on the palate with a structure of polished tannins that give it body and smoothness.
