Anselmo Mendes Parcela Única is a wood-aged white wine made by Anselmo Mendes with the Albariño variety in Vinho Verde, in the Minho region (Portugal).
Born in Monção, in the land of vinho verde, Anselmo Mendes is a great champion of native varieties and a great innovator when it comes to winemaking. A perfect combination of tradition and modernity that has allowed him to produce wines that fully express their birthplace and that have made him the most renowned winemaker in Portugal.
Anselmo Mendes Parcela Única comes from a single plot, hence the name. These vines are planted in granite soils and cultivated using traditional methods. The yields are limited and the harvest is carried out manually in 20 kg boxes.
In the winery, the Anselmo Mendes Parcela Única grapes are destemmed and gently pressed. The resulting must is cold clarified and then fermented in 400-litre French oak barrels for 9 months with periodic batonnage.
Made from a single vineyard that produces a crisp and unique grape, Anselmo Mendes Parcela Única reveals fruit, acidity and minerality in perfect harmony thanks to its barrel aging. A gastronomic Alvarinho with great balance and minerality.
