About Vina Pargua Anka
Anka is a wood-aged red wine made by Clos Quebrada de Macul in the Maipo Valley by Clos Quebrada del Macul with the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot varieties.
The vines are planted on a hillside in the Metropolitan Region of Santiago, and this Clos Quebrada de Macul wine is the result of Isabelle and Ricardo Peña’s decision to stop selling their high-quality grapes to the best wineries in the country and make their own wines. They have done wonderful work and in a short time, they have been praised by the best-known critics of the wine world.
Anka comes from the vineyards that this small winery owns in the Maipo Valley. The vines are planted at the foot of the Andes and they are cultivated using environmentally friendly agriculture that preserves the natural balance of the terroir. The harvest is carried out at the optimum point of ripeness.
In the winery, the Anka grapes are traditionally vinified with a 32-day maceration. The wine then ages for 12 months in oak barrels, 20% of which are new. It is then bottled and lightly filtered.
Made by one of the most prestigious wineries in Chile, Anka is a very balanced coupage that has delighted experts and the general public alike.
2015 | Anka 2015 is a concentrated red wine with light aromas of ripe fruits, floral notes and hints of spice. On the palate it is rounded, juicy and fresh. A wine with a balanced palate that reveals well-integrated acidity combined with fine tannins. The finish is fruity and minty. |
