Bodegas Briego is located in Fompedraza, a small village of the region of Valladolid, where the winemaking is a tradition. The Benito Hernando brothers (Fernando, Gaspar and Javier) are the owners of Bodegas Briego and the ones responsible for retrieving the vinicultural family tradition.

In 1998, they started to replant vines in the municipalities of Curiel de Duero, Pesquera, Peñafiel and Fompedraza. Nowadays, they own 70 hectares of 60-year-old vineyards. Their struggle to achieve high-quality wines and their willingness to revitalise the municipality of Fompedraza are two characteristic aspects of this winery.
