Grant's Blended Scotch Whisky

Tasting notes Grant's Blended Scotch Whisky 70 cl.
Whisky escocés (70 cl.). Blended Scotch Whisky.
About Grant's Blended Scotch Whisky
Grant´s is a Scottish blended whiskey made by William Grant & Sons Ltd. This whiskey has a base of fine grains obtained from the Girvan distillery, which produces the kind and sweet charactered whiskey, to which various malt and grain whiskeys are added.
It was back in 1886 when William Grant began working as an accountant in the sector of distilleries. It wasn´t until 12 years later in 1898 when he would found his own company and produce his own whiskey. In the beginning this was not easy, William´s son-in-law, Charles Gordon, took over the commerical aspects of the company, but there was no way to sell the product. After 180 calls, the company seemed doomed to failure. However, thanks to the 181st person to decide to by a box of whiskey, we are now able to enjoy the wonder of Grant´s.
William Grant & Sons Ltd. was born from practically nothing, yet over a century later it has become a household name within the sector. Founded as a family business, it is today in the hands of the 5th generation of the same family, while still maintaining its original character.
This product is has a classic garnet red style label. The bottle has a triangular shape. Devised by Hans Schleger, a graphic designer who took refuge in the UK from the Nazis. He broke the mould with this bottle shape.
Grant's Blended Scotch Whisky is a golden amber whisky with a nose that reveals soft, sweet aromas reminiscent of honey and vanilla. On the palate, it offers a delicate flavour, where the sweet notes stand out, just as on the nose, leaving a warm sensation in its wake.
