About Tras da Canda Albariño
Tras da Canda Albariño is a single-variety white wine made from Albariño grapes from the Rías Baixas, produced by Bodegas y Viñedos Rodrigo Méndez.
Bodegas y Viñedos Rodrigo Méndez is a relatively new winery owned by the oenologist Rodrigo Méndez. It employs traditional winemaking methods and techniques, and Rodrigo has been recognised as one of the finest oenologists in Galicia. He has also collaborated with Raúl Pérez on numerous viticultural projects.
Tras da Canda Albariño is fermented in barrels. It is then aged for 12 months in 500-litre barrels. Its production is extremely limited, with only around 700 bottles produced.
Tras da Canda Albariño is a mineral, vibrant, and creamy wine, where the young vine grapes have been tamed and refined through barrel fermentation and ageing.
