The Dalmore 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Whisky (70 cl.).
Concentrated citrus and aromatic sherry notes on the palate, with a touch of vanilla. A toasted coffee and chocolate finish.
Gold.
A chocolate, citric and aromatic spice aroma.
About The Dalmore 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
The Dalmore 12 Year Old is initially matured for nine years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks before being separated in two batches. One half continues its maturation in bourbon barrels, while the other half is transferred to 30 year old Matusalem oloroso sherry casks. Complex, yet balanced, The Dalmore 12 Year Old is the apex of the Dalmore house style.
The Dalmore Distillery has been producing single malt whisky since 1839. Located on the northern shores of the Firth of Cromarty, deep in the Scottish Highlands, the distillery is perfectly positioned to take advantage of a wide range of natural resources: from the waters of Loch Morie, found high in the hills overlooking the distillery, to the golden barley of the rich coastal soils of the Black Isle. Being sited at sea level is critically important. Engulfed by the salt air, the sea-facing traditional dunnage warehouses provide the ideal conditions for maturation.
Crafted using a process that has been perfected over the past 150 years, the Dalmore is the world's most revered malt scotch whisky. Four steps define its craft: a unique distillation process, maturation in bespoke oak casks, fusion of our remarkable spirit by our esteemed master distiller, and lastly, the finesse of the best wood from some of the world's most famous wineries. These elements perfectly join up to produce a rich, rewarding whisky that is enjoyed and appreciated by connoisseurs and collectors around the world.
In 2009, The Dalmore 12 Year Old won Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
