About Suntory Hibiki 21 years

February 2021 marked a turning point in the world of spirits. That month, the magazine Whisky Magazine assembled 62 experts to select the finest whisky in the world. The competition, featuring 293 spirits, concluded with an unexpected outcome: Japanese whisky significantly outshone the most select bourbons and scotches. One of those whiskies, which secured second place, was Suntory Hibiki 21 years. 
 
Hibiki, meaning resonance or harmony, was launched in 1989 to commemorate the anniversary of Suntory, one of the premier distilleries in Japan, which today has become an emblem of Japanese whisky. In fact, Suntory is considered the pioneering house of Japanese whisky. Founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii, who established Japan's first malt whisky distillery in Yamazaki, this house has consistently remained at the pinnacle of quality over generations. 
 
Suntory Hibiki 21 years is a blend of several malt and grain whiskies from Suntory's Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita distilleries, making it one of the most exclusive and luxurious beverages in the world. As its name suggests, Suntory Hibiki 21 years is aged for two decades in mizunara wood casks. Don't miss out!
