About Señorío De San Vicente Tempranillo
San Vicente is a great red wine made by Señorío de San Vicente in D.O. Rioja
Señorío de San Vicente is owned by the Eguren brothers, owners of other great wineries like Sierra Cantabria in D.O. Rioja and Teso la Monja in D.O. Toro.
San Vicente is a single variety Tempranillo Peludo red wine, a historical variety that has practically disappeared due to its low yield.
San Vicente is produced following an artisanal process. The harvest is done by hand, after a selection of the best bunches from their own vines. A winery that has a second selection of the grapes which means they are only left with the best grapes and best bunches.
After the fermentation, there is an aging for 20 months in new French Bordeaux barrels (90%) and American (10%).
