About Régnard Macôn Rouge
Régnard Macôn Rouge 2016 is a monovarietal Gamayred wine produced by Maison Régnard.
Maison Régnard is one of the oldest wineries in Burgundy. It was founded in 1860, but in 1984 the Domaine came under the control of Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, who continued to perpetuate and improve the style and typical nature of its wines.
The grapes for Régnard Macôn Rouge come from Mâconnais, in the south of Burgundy. They come from vineyards 400 metres above sea level, planted in calcareous, clayey and siliceous soils. Although the winery is located in Burgundy, it does not perform the usual semi-carbonaceous Beaujolais maceration, but works according to the principles of the house: destemming and squeezing the grapes to be vinified and not influencing the wine excessively with wood to let the grape express itself naturally.

2016 | Régnard Macôn Rouge 2016 is a fresh wine, with aromas of wild fruit such as raspberries or blackberries, and with hints of spices such as pepper or cloves. Balsamic and toasted touches are also noted. On the palate it is full, dry and fruity, with polished tannins. |
