About Ramos Pinto Porto Ruby
Ramos Pinto Porto Ruby is a fortified port wine coupage made with the Touriga Franca and Tinta Barroca varieties, by Casa Ramos Pinto in Porto, Portugal.
Ramos Pinto Porto Ruby is an assembly of young, intense ruby red coloured wines, hence its name, which ages for three years in large wooden vats known as “balseiros”.
This maturation process allows it to retain its colour and its fruitiness, which results in an ideal port wine to enjoy at any time.
Casa Ramos Pinto was founded in 1880 by Adriano Ramos Pinto who considered that the appreciation of a good wine was mainly a cultural thing. This sensitivity works in harmony with tradition and cutting-edge methods, which has given this winery an international reputation, with Ramos Pinto wines becoming a benchmark of quality, unique nectars with their own signature.
