About Patrick Jasmin Côte-Rôtie
Patrick Jasmin Côte-Rôtie is a barrel-aged red wine made with the noble Syrah variety in the prestigious AOC Côte Rôtie denomination, in the Rhône by Patrick Jasmin.
Patrick Jasmin and his wife Arlette cultivate their 5.5 ha of vineyards spread over 11 different plots. This is a family winery lying on steep slope terraces on the Côte-Rôtie hill in Ampuis (Rhone). As the fourth generation of winemakers, this couple are known for their traditional and continuous style.
Patrick Jasmin Côte-Rôtie comes from three vineyards lying above the village of Ampuis. These vines face south, southwest and are 40 years old on average. The team use environmentally friendly agriculture and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness.
In the winery, Patrick Jasmin Côte-Rôtie is made with a classic mix of different plots. Firstly, it ferments at a controlled temperature and then ages in used 600-litre barrels for 16 months.
Patrick Jasmin Côte-Rôtie is the only wine that this winery produces in Côte-Rôtie. It is elegant without being heavy and stands out for its richness and texture. A classic with great balance.
2017 | Patrick Jasmin Côte-Rôtie 2017 is a concentrated red wine with aromas of ripe red fruit, violet flowers and suggestive notes of wood and spices. On the palate it is silky, complex and structured. A fruity flavour combined with subtle tannins, juicy acidity and an impressively long and penetrating finish. |
