About Panduro Tinto
Known as the land of the Monastrell, the D.O. Jumilla is a denomination located in a small and unique wine region in the northwest of the province of Murcia (Spain). This is an area where new generation winemakers have done a great job of transforming wines traditionally characterised by their strength and robustness into wines with a significant fruit load, warmth and good structure. Wines that represent a journey through time to teach us about the winemaking tradition and respect for the culture, history and landscape of this eastern land. One of the most faithful representatives of this ancient tradition is Panduro Vinos, a small project that reflects the best of each terroir.
Panduro Tinto is an example of their quest. A single-variety Monastrell with a small amount of local white varieties from a 2.5 hectare plot with sandy loam soil. The vines are 40 years old and lie at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level, where they are organically cultivated without any chemical products. In the winery, maceration begins for 12 days with some clusters left whole. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with native yeasts and the wine then ages for 6 months in used French oak barrels.
So Panduro Tinto is a natural wine without added sulphites that showcases the most natural side of a small Mediterranean denomination that, although still not very well known, has a lot to offer.

2020 |
Panduro Tinto 2020 is a supple red wine with an exceedingly limited production run (a mere 855 bottles). On the nose, it exhibits ripe red and black fruits, complemented by herbaceous undertones. The palate is greeted with an expressive, flavourful, and enveloping experience. This well-structured wine boasts lively tannins and a lingering finish. |
