About Nora da Neve
Nora da Neve is a white wine from the D.O Rías Baixas produced by Viña Nora. The winery is located in the town of As Neves (Nieves), in the province of Pontevedra.
Nora da Neve is a monovarietal of Albariño. The vines are 20 years old and planted in alluvial soils of granite and boulders.
The grapes for this varietal Albariño is characterised by a small grape, hard skin and a concentrated must, which produces a large concentration of flavour with a large variety of aromas.
For production, the must is fermented and aged in French oak barrels for 7 months.
2019 | Nora da Neve 2019 is a bright, golden coloured white. The nose is elegant and seductive, with a marked varietal character where ripe fruits, white flowers (chamomile) and spices stand out. On the palate it is fresh and meaty. A long and complex finish. |
|
2012 | Full-flavoured and fleshy. Unctuous and creamy. The oak is well balanced with the white fruits and mineral notes present in the wine. Good acidity. Long and persistent finish. Yellow with golden hues. Complex and balanced. Fine aromas of white fruit combines with delicated spicy and floral notes. Light herbal base. |
|
2010 | On the palate it is full, ample and fresh. Full of flavour with a good structure and very juicy. Subtle and well harmonised wood notes with sensations of ripe fruit without minerality. An intense, persistent and fruity finish. Very long. Golden yellow in colour. On the nose it is powerful, delicate and complex, a varietal character, ripe fruit and white flowers, laurel, fennel and butter with a background full of spices. |
|
2007 | Intense and broad. Tasty and creamy mid palate, with hints of citrus and smoked touches. Onctuous and creamy texture. Very good balance between fruit, wood and acidity. Very long finish and a nice little touch of bitterness. Intense golden yellow colour with pearly trims. Clean and glyceric. Intense, complex and very expressive. In the foreground the notes of tropical fruits stand out but as the wine opens up, the hints of citrus and ripe fruit appear. Along with floral touches, the creamy, milky and smoky notes provided by the oak are also noticed. This wine is completed by some subtle herbaceous and balsamic touches. |
|
2006 | Flavor is intense and complex, dense and very long. Pale yellow. Spicy and smoky background of ripe fruit. |
