Muga Rosado 2022 is a fruity rosé wine with aromas of red fruit accompanied by citrus notes and floral hints. The palate is elegant, precise and fresh. A flavoursome wine with well-integrated natural acidity, a smooth mid-palate and a lingering, subtly bitter finish.
Muga Rosado is a rosé wine by Bodegas Muga in DO La Rioja. Located in the town of Haro, one of the towns with the highest concentration of wineries in the world, Bodegas Muga is one of the historic cellars of La Rioja.
They began making wine in 1932, when Isaac Muga and Aurora Caño married. Muga Rosado is made from a blend of Garnacha, Tempranillo and Viura, typical varieties of La Rioja, from vineyards planted up to 480 metres above sea level on clay-limestone soils, with a climate marked by Atlantic, Continental and Mediterranean influences.
Once in the winery, the grapes are selected, destemmed and macerated for 12 hours before fermentation takes place in wooden tanks of about 2000 litres for 20-25 days at a controlled temperature of 18 degrees.
Once the fermentation has occurred, Muga Rosado rests for two months with its lees. After this, it is stabilised cold, filtered and bottled, ready to go to market. Muga Rosado is between rosé wine amongst rosés. Each wine vintage after the next delights its fans. And there are many.

There is a clean and complex nose. Great prominence of fruit such as cherry, peach, apple, pineapple and peach with light floral aromas.
We also find a nice presence of pastries and yeast from working with the lees.Muga is one of those few wineries in Rioja that has managed to combine the most absolute family tradition with a renewed vision of the future. This has allowed them to maintain the unique character and personality of their wines. In addition, it is one of the few wineries in La Rioja that uses oak wood from its own cooperage in all the stages of the production and the ageing processes. An exemplary winery, and one of the most prestigious ones in La Rioja. Since the very beginning, harvest after harvest, it makes wine with the family seal: “Muga style”.
