Monteabellón 5 months is a red wine made by Bodegas y Viñedos Monteabellón in Nava de Roa, Ribera del Duero D.O.

Bodegas y Viñedos Monteabellón is a family winery located in the small town of Nava de Roa, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero. For several generations the García family has devoted its efforts to viticulture, and taking advantage of this experience, in 2000 they decided to start producing their own wine.

Bodegas y Viñedos Monteabellón currently owns 98 hectares of vineyards, divided into different plots in the municipality of Roa de Navas. Here they have different types of soils and altitudes. All the vineyards are Tempranillo with only 5% Merlot.

Currently they also produce wines in Rueda and La Rioja.

Monteabellón 5 months is a wine made with Tempranillo, from the freshest vineyards, located near the Douro River, on sandy loam soils with the presence of gravel.

After a classic vinification, with 20 days of maceration, it undergoes a short ageing of 5 months in French and American oak barrels.
