M. Chapoutier Rasteau is a red wine made with Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, from the AOC Rasteau produced by Maison Chapoutier in the Rhone.

Michel Chapoutier is a prestigious Rhone wine producer. His winery Maison Chapoutier was founded in 1808 and is one of the pioneers in the practice of biodynamics. It seeks to respect and integrate the natural cycles, so all its vineyards are cultivated in a biodynamic or eco-friendly way.

The vineyard for M. Chapoutier Rasteau is located a few kilometres from Les Dentelles de Montmirail, a small mountain chain in Provence. Its soils are limestone and marl, sedimentary rock calcite and clays.

The grapes for M. Chapoutier Rasteau are destemmed completely and vatted for around 15 to 21 days. Once the fermentation is finished, the wine is kept in vats for about 12-16 months until it is bottled.

M. Chapoutier Rasteau is a red wine made by the famous winemaker Michel Chapoutier. A powerful and generous wine with lots of fruit and a little residual sugar.

M. Chapoutier Rasteau 2017 has a delicate and intense nose. With notes of fruity aromas, ripe fruit, raspberry, currant and cassis. On the palate we see that it is well structured and that it is generous and pleasant. It has a little residual sugar that give it a smooth attack and a lot of volume in the mouth. It has a little over 5gr of sugar per litre.
