Vermouth Lustau Blanco is made with the Palomino and Moscatel varieties by Bodegas Lustau in Jerez, Spain.
The Lustau winery has a hundred years of history behind it and has been making unique wines since 1896. With all of this experience, they have recovered the tradition of making vermouths with Jerez wine as the main protagonist.
To make this Vermouth Lustau Blanco, they use one of their fortified Fino wines and a Moscatel sweet wine as a base. This provides the perfect combination of botanicals like marjoram, which brings citrus and balsamic notes, gentian that reinforces astringency, rosemary that adds freshness and a herbaceous note, chamomile that offers a subtle bitter note accompanied by aromatic power and wormwood, an essential ingredient in vermouth that gives it its characteristic bitter touch.
Lustau Blanco should be served in a wide glass with ice and an olive. This is a deliciously light and refreshing vermouth, full of Jerez nuances.
