Marqués de Riscal Finca Montico is a white wine from the Rueda D.O region, produced by the Marqués de Riscal winery. This wine is made using only Verdejo (100%) grapes.
The grapes used to make this wine come from vines that are over 20 years old, situated on the highest peaks of the río Duero.
The harvest is carried out manually. Upon entering the winery, the grapes are cooled and lightely pressed without destemming.
Marqués de Riscal Finca Montico undergoes fermentation using indigenous yeast. Following this, the wine finally rests for about 4 months on its lees.
The Marqués de Riscal winery, one of Spains most famous, was founded back in 1858. The production of white wines in Rueda, such as the Marqués de Riscal Finca Montico, began back in 1972.
