El Vínculo Reserva is a wood-aged red wine produced by Bodega El Vínculo with the Tempranillo variety in the D.O. La Mancha (Castilla La Mancha).
The La Mancha wine region is often associated with large production, everyday wines, but El Vínculo was created with the aim of producing high-quality, limited-production wines. Part of the Grupo Pesquera, this winery pays tribute to local wine tradition.
El Vínculo Reserva comes from a 52-hectare vineyard lying between 650 and 750 metres above sea level on semi-flat terrain with plenty of sunlight. The vines have an average age of 50 years old and are planted in soils with sandy and clayey compounds. They are cultivated using traditional agriculture and the harvest is manual.
In the winery, the El Vínculo Reserva grapes are carefully destemmed to begin vinification in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature and the wine is aged in American oak barrels for 24 months. Finally, the wine rests in the bottle for 12 months before being released for sale.
El Vínculo Reserva is a red wine from the prestigious Grupo Pesquera that showcases the full potential of the Tempranillo variety in La Mancha.
