Dibon Brut Selección is a sparkling Reserve wine made with the Macabeo, Parellada and Xarel·lo varieties by the Marrugat winery in the D.O. Cava.
Marrugat started out in 1959 with José María Tetas, founder of Bodegas Pinord, with the aim of creating a new brand of cava. It was given its name to honour his wife Antonia Marrugat. Since then they have been producing a wide range of cavas with different characteristics and aging, and expanding into the international market.
Marrugat makes Dibon Brut Selección from their own vineyards located in the region of Vilafranca del Penedès (Barcelona). From a family of traditional vine growers, they have native vines that are over 60 years old such as Xarel·lo, Parellada or Macabeo. The harvest is carried out when the grapes reach their optimum ripeness.
The Dibon Brut Selección grape is selected and handled separately. It is fermented at low temperature and then fermented for a second time in the bottle in the cellar for a minimum of 16 months.
Dibon Brut Selección is a fresh, pleasant cava with a persistent bubble.
