About Clos Cibonne Tentations Rosé
Clos Cibonne Tentations Rosé is a rosé coupage of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Tibouren, produced by Clos Cibonne in Le Pradet, Côtes de Provence, France.
Clos Cibonne has 15 hectares of vineyards with shale and clay soils located 800 metres from the coast that are surrounded by slopes that form a kind of bowl facing the sea. This geographical situation creates a circulation of air that allows a perfect ripening of the varieties and encourages a more stable harvest.
Clos Cibonne Tentations Rosé is a traditional combination of varieties used for the production of rosé wines from the Côtes de Provence but with the particular feature of including Tibouren grapes, a rare ancestral variety that is said to have been the favourite of Emperor Julius Caesar. This strain is the heart and the hallmark of Clos Cibonne, a great promoter and ambassador of this grape in France and, quite probably, in the rest of the world.
The varieties that make up the Clos Cibonne Tentations Rosé blend come from vineyards with different locations and types of soil that are grown in a sustainable way and are harvested manually. The grapes ferment with their native yeasts and remain up to 10 weeks with their fine lees in stainless steel tanks.
The Clos Cibonne Tentations Rosé is an ideal wine to begin exploring the Pradet area and start tasting hints of the Tibouren variety. It is definitely a discovery worth sharing.
