About Château Talbot
Château Talbot is a red wine coupage of the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot varieties produced by Château Talbot in the AOC Saint-Julien, in Bordeaux, France.
The grapes used to make the Château Talbot wine come from 50-year-old vines that grow in a 102-hectare vineyard with predominantly Médoc gravel soils. The harvest is carried out manually between the end of September and the beginning of October.
The must is fermented in wooden vats and the resulting wine is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, half of which are new.
Château Talbot is a family winery with a rich history stretching back for a century. In Saint-Julien, in the middle of a sea of vineyards, lies the estate that bears the name of Constable Talbot, a famous English warrior who was Earl of Shrewsbury.
The Saint-Julien denomination lies in the heart of the Médoc vineyards, in Bordeaux, and has the most homogeneous terroirs of all the communal denominations in the area. The wines made here are delicate and balanced by nature, like this Château Talbot, which has the delicacy of Margaux wines and the power of Pauillac wines.

The tannins are refined and lend structure to the tasting experience, culminating in a prolonged and gratifying finish. This red wine is a vibrant and opulent expression of its vintage. |
