Cavarodes Arbois Chardonnay Messagelin 2018 is a profiled white wine with an expressive nose of citrus and ripe yellow fruits under a mineral background. On the palate it’s ample, round and fruity. A balanced wine with a magnificent bitter finish and saline notes.
Cavarodes Arbois Chardonnay Messagelin is a natural white wine produced by Domaine des Cavarodes with the Chardonnay variety in the AOC Arbois, in Jura (France).
Domaine des Cavarodes is the project of Etienne Thiebaud, a young winemaker who in 2007, at the age of 22, took over the small family estate in the village of Cramans and began to produce natural wines of impressive purity that perfectly reflect the terroir they come from.
Cavarodes Arbois Chardonnay Messagelin comes from old vineyards planted on limestone, clay and calcareous marl soils. Ecocert certified vines which are worked organically and with biodynamic treatments. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
In the cellar, the Cavarodes Arbois Chardonnay Messagelin grapes ferment spontaneously with native yeasts and then the wine ages in used French oak barrels for 12 months. It’s then bottled without clarifying, filtering or adding sulphites.
A true wine craftsman, Etienne Thiebaud makes Cavarodes Arbois Chardonnay Messagelin , demonstrating the delicacy, minerality and beauty of France's oldest and largest wine appellation.
