About Casal de Armán Blanco

In the Galician Valle del Avia, located in the northwest of the Peninsula, treixadura finds one of its grand stages. Surrounded by godello and albariño, sourced from vines over 80 years old, it crafts Casal de Armán Blanco here, a fresh, expressive ribeiro deeply connected to its origin.
 
Casal de Armán Blanco originates from 23 hectares of vineyards spread across various plots and altitudes of the valley. A landscape of sandy granite soils, known as sábrego, clay, and some schist, where the old vines yield low outputs and grapes of great concentration. The blend is predominantly treixadura, accompanied by godello and albariño. Each variety and plot is vinified separately to preserve their characteristics before achieving their final balance in the assemblage.
 
The harvest of Casal de Armán Blanco is manual, and the grapes swiftly reach the winery in isothermal transport. After 12 hours of cooling at 7°C, they pass through a vibrating sorting table and are pressed whole. The must of Casal de Armán Blanco undergoes static clarification and ferments at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Following fermentation, Casal de Armán Blanco remains in the tank for several months, gaining roundness and harmony without losing the fruitiness and freshness that define this ribeiro.
 
Casal de Armán Blanco is, ultimately, a particularly fresh and fruity expression of the Valle del Avia. A wine where the old vines, treixadura, and the character of the terroir come together in a balanced, expressive, and distinctive glass.

2017 Casal de Armán Blanco 2017 is a unctuous, fresh and very honest white wine. A good vintage that shows all its fruity side. Citric white fruit on the nose, with elegant floral notes. In the mouth, it is easy to drink and quite persistent.
2009 Very fresh, oily and honest palate, with a sweet touch and a perfectly integrated acidity that allows obtaining a wonderful sweet-acid balance.

Very clean and bright straw yellow colour, with green reflections and glyceric consistency.

Medium intensity aromas of hay, white flowers, fennel and small ripe stone fruit.
2007 In the mouth is fresh, oily, very frank, with a sweet tooth perfectly integrated acidity that allows us to obtain a wonderful sweet-acid balance.
